Most travel apps are built for solo bookers, or to sell you something. Tripbuds is built for groups — a place where the trips your friends have actually done become the starting point for the trip you're about to take. Save the good ones, edit them to fit, plan together, split the bill at the end. One app, one source of truth.

Every trip on Tripbuds was planned or taken by someone. No AI-generated itineraries, no scraped blog posts, no paid placements pretending to be recommendations.
Your trips are yours.
You decide what's public and what's private. You can save any public trip to your own My trips and make it yours. We never sell your data.
Built for groups, not solo bookers.
The whole product is shaped around planning with other people — your buds, your family, the group you actually travel with. Collaboration is the default, not a paid add-on.
Honest about what works.
If a stay is sold out, we say so. If a stop has changed hands, we let tips reflect that. Travel apps lose trust fast — we'd rather show less and be right than show more and be wrong.
Where we're from
A small team, a southern harbour, and a lot of trips planned in cafes.
Tripbuds is built by Tripbuds Pty Ltd, a small Australian company based in Sydney. We're a tight team of engineers and designers who travel a lot, plan trips badly, and decided to fix it. The whole app is shipped from Sydney — launching on iOS and Android together in late 2026.
We're an Australian-registered company (ABN 88 635 938 537) and we follow Australian Privacy Principles. If you ever want to know what we hold on you, email privacy@tripbuds.com and we'll tell you.
Why now
Group travel is harder than it should be — even though everyone's doing it.
More people travel in groups than ever, and the tools have barely changed in a decade. Big travel sites optimise for the lone booker with a credit card. Group chats optimise for chaos. The middle — a calm, shared place where a trip actually comes together — has been missing.
That's what Tripbuds is. It's the app we wanted to use ourselves, and now we get to build it.
